Hello from Beijing China where I'm just outside of the Beijing National Stadium. The Beijing National Stadium also know as "The Birds Nest" was home to the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The stadium hosted the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, athletic events, and football final of the 2008 Summer Olympics, from August 8th to August 24th, 2008.
Ground was broken in December 2003 and the stadium officially opened in June 2008. Built at a cost of $423 million dollars, it is currently the world's largest steel structure.
