Lavender

    Vanilla buttercake filled with a lavender-cream and topped with lavender-scented buttercream. We make the lavender syrup from the flowers growing in our garden.

      Looks soooooo yummy!!! A beautiful creation!! (I was looking at a slideshow of "lavender" because I just realized I have some growing at the corner of my house, and when your picture showed up, my mouth started watering like Pavlov's dog! Ha Ha!! Thank you for sharing! (There is a bakery in Columbus, Ohio...shoot...can't remember the name right now...one time I was hungry for cake and they make great cakes. I called and asked for one, but didn't have any occassion to celebrate, so when they asked how I'd like it decorated, I said, "Oh, maybe 2 or 3 roses"...when I went to pick it up, the whole top of the cake...maybe an 8-inch cake...was FULL of all sorts of different types and colors of icing flowers!! After all, that is my favorite part of a cake...how did they know?) Your picture brought back that wonderful memory to me which happened probably at least 15-18 years ago. You must love your job!! Thanks for sharing!
