Many serious runners plan their training in advance. Sometimes what is planned collides with reality through an unexpected injury.
You can curse it, ignore it and accept it, but you cannot escape reality. It is out to get you and you'd better be prepared to deal with its consequences. Crying against fate does not change it. It only makes it harder to accept that you've been given the wrong end of Thor's hammer and it dropped right onto your toe.
Reality be damned!
