York Minster 177a
Inside York Minster. During the Middle Ages this room was not used for religious services - it was more like a meeting place for the townspeople. There were no chairs and the floor was either dirt or tombstones. Choir boys would run around playing football and there was some trading going on. Along the sides there were benches where old people could have a rest.
