This is mindblowing stuff.

I would like to dedicate this photo to Merlin...who was kind enough to create a new watermark for me with the om symbol. Thank you Merlin, your hard work is appreciated very much!

The most revered quality of the lotus blossom is the fact that it comes from a seed planted deep within mud below a pond, and it grows through the mud and water and comes out perfectly clean and pristine as a blossom high above the water, almost as though it has transcended to the spiritual plane.

Though there are other water plants that bloom above the water, it is only the lotus which, owing to the strength of its stem, regularly rises eight to twelve inches above the surface. Thus, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and mind as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire.
