Downtown Austin Skyline | HDR
So, it's been a while since I created and posted an HDR image. Haven't found much to shoot in HDR and I got so much else to do. But tonight was the night.
Although I'm a little disappointed because I thought I could do more with the full moon but that piece of rock up there is just too darn bright. Just look at the rays; there is just no way you can blend the moon into tonight's sky without special tricks.
Ah well, it's not bad after all just not what I intended. Lesson learned. Y'all have a wonderful weekend.

A bright moon against a dark background is just a nightmare. I usually find it impossible to do anything good out of a single RAW shot. You actually bracket several shots and take it from there.

Nice star trails in the large view.
I too was photographing the moon from downtown last night while waiting for a server to finish upgrading. I had a great view from high up in a skyscraper, but I had to shoot through double-pane glass and awful reflective film, so the quality was rather lacking. :-(
