Temple

The fifth set in my Japan series, taken in late 2003.

These photos were all taken with a crappy little disposable camera, and so I have adjusted brightness and contrast, and in many cases colour levels to compensate for this.

The first week of our stay in rural Fukushima was spent often at the local Junior High school. On this occasion however, my Japanese teacher organised for us all to take a trip to Aizu Wakamatsu, a popular tourist place not too far away.

Here is a structure outside Tsuruga Castle, which I believe is another Shinto shrine/temple. I thought it was a lovely time for a picture - I particularly love how the red stands out from the winter greys.
