I decided on this quilt to use up the scraps from my Anna Maria Horner voile string quilt (I couldn't bear to throw all those little pieces away!). This block is shown in Gwen Marston's Liberated Quiltmaking book, and is called the Exquisite block. Blogged here.

I just flagged this one in the book. I had the same thought as you. This would be a great way to use up some small pieces and scraps. It looks wonderful!

Ashley, I think that book is terrific (as is the quilt, of course!) and so have started a group of quilts inspired by LQ I & LQ II: Liberated Quilts. I'd love it if you'd add this to the group!
