A Halloween Scare
I played basketball on Halloween morning, as I normally do on Saturdays. However, this time had an interesting twist. Late in a tight contest I was poked in the eye which left me barely capable of driving home and in severe pain. Despite my lack of health insurance, I decided to go to the doc, where I was informed I had a significant tear covering over 1/3 of my cornea. I have been taking codeine for the pain, antibiotics, and wearing this attractive eye patch. Hopefully, it will heal naturally, but it was pretty severe--no driving or playing basketball for awhile. So, my apologies for not keeping up with the comments, etc. in past few days. When I can see better, I promise I'll get to it.
