I've been feeling a bit uninspired of late and struggling to find time to get out and take pictures. At least some of that is due to the increasing hassle of taking out a large camera body, multiple lenses and all the other paraphernalia. Even once I've found time to shoot, I then need to find more time to sit in front of a monitor and develop the RAW files into polished shots that I like. In short, photography was becoming a drag.
A few days ago, on a whim (and following a pleasantly surprising tax rebate) I popped into a local camera store and walked out a few hours later clutching a Fujifilm X100. It ticked all the boxes: large sensor and fast lens, small and portable, capable of producing excellent quality JPEGs SOOC. Hopefully the ideal tool to put some spontaneity and fun back into my photography.
So far, so good... :-)
