Since early March I've had that 35mm 1.8 lens mounted on my camera except for two ocassions.

I've got a killer 70-200 2.8 Nikkor lens that I used to love like nothing else...

It's become a paperweight on my desk.

I'm in love with that 35mm.

There's no zoom... you gotta 'compose' with your feet...

Without question... if you're sporting a 35mm fixed focal length lens you gotta get in there to get the shot.

    That's what I love doing.

It puts me in 'the zone' when I shoot with it...

There is no substitute for 'close.'

I no longer have telephoto envy when I see guys sportin' those 600mm lenses...

    Those are for shooting eagles.

    I shoot people.

    I shoot them up close...

Because that's where I want to be.

I shoot them wide open with a really tight depth of field.

I shoot people the way that I see them.

    The pictures I get...

That's the way that people see me.
