A Letter From the Edge

    Newer Older

The postman delivers a letter from a very close friend... words from afar that land so close to home.

I set the letter aside for three days before I opened it.

    Just to wonder.

There's nothing like getting a letter written by hand.

    Except for writing one back.

Thank you Maria. I was a stamp collector too when I was a kid. I loved to hold all of those beautiful stamps from far away places with their indecipherable writing and their magnificent designs... I'd always wonder about the journey's a letter might take through a strange land. Nobody does that anymore.

I have never thrown away any letter or postcard I´ve ever got.
they are safely putted in boxes,,
yes, you´re right...letters like this are treasures and all letters we´ve got are telling something about our life and the life from this beloved one, who wrote the words.
throw them away means to me to throw something away from my life..
      that´s my opinion-;)
      Hugs!

Very true! I love getting hand written letters - so rare and precious. I keep them forever.

the framing of the shot is phenomenal...it's really simple, and I'm not sure if you intended this or not, but the sketch of the person and its position in the photo looks like the person is reading the letter in a way...not to mention the handwriting in the letters...just lovely

      =)
