Kohi Sunrise
This is sunrise at Kohimarama Beach, Auckland.
I managed to drag myself out of bed at 5:30 this morning. I thought I'd better get in another sunrise shoot before the weather craps out again, and it turned out to be a pretty nice morning.
This is a combination of 3 shots, manually blended in Photoshop. I also used a Singh-Ray 3-stop reverse GND filter to hold back the sun.
Oh, and I'm not sure if that's my footprint there or not, I can't remember! There were some doggies that ran past while I was taking the shot, but I don't think they were wearing shoes.

I can't get myself out of the bed so early sadly enough I managed only once, although forth the effort it's so hard.
This is real nice, a sunrise does look different from a sunset.

The things we do for art hey? I have done a few early shots and they are quite rewarding, the light is so lovely and it is a special moment in the day.
