Not sure if anyone knows this but I REAAAALLLLY hate photo's of myself. This is a huge milestone for me. My Flickr friend - Steve aka FLASHFLOOD (Check out his photostream he is amazing!) does these out of this world fantastic self portraits, that add to my weariness of self photo's. In the spirit of my new camera I've decided to at least share this photo with you all. Downside to the new camera (check out the photo just before this one for new camera info), it doesn't do black and white nor sepia shots but thankfully my photo program does. :D

My husband got tired of me trying to take a decent photo with my old busted camera, so he talked me into getting another one. My heart was set on a fancy manual camera but life happened and I settled for another point and shoot camera (for now). He got me a Sony CyberShot! This is one of the first few photo's I took with the camera and I'm still not used to it's new buttons and gadgets, so be easy on me about this photo. :) I'm just so happy to be shooting with a camera again but it will take me some time to get used to it. Not sure what kind of bloom this is but I was told it may be a peach tree. The only edit I've done to this photo was crop it a little bit because I wanted to see it's natural snap.

Ok so, a few months ago I dropped my camera on my concrete porch and busted it into pieces. I managed to get it all back together but it realllllly messed up the quality. Causing everything on the right to streak red and black noise to show in the photo. That's why I've not really uploaded photos lately. I had to share this one though no matter the quality. This bird JUST flew into my bay window. Hearing the noise, I went to find out what the sound was and found this guy on his side, his eye's closed and twitching. Really broke my heart, so I went outside in 20 degree weather to try and help this guy through his last moments. I found a stick near by and I was petting him with it, to let him know he wasn't alone. After 15 minutes, he just wasn't moving or giving up, so I rustled my feet around and that made him bounce to his feet. I still sat there with him for a while until he would hold his eye's open. I took this photo of him, then came back inside because I felt I had done all I can do. From the warmth inside the house I watched his bird friends come up and peck him on the back a few times and he took off flying. So glad I went and helped him or he just would've gave up. Hope all is well with everyone and you're staying warm. :)

Does anyone know what type of bird this is?
