It's pictures like this that makes you wonder, why you would ever need to buy another lens.
It was shot with a 40-something year old 85mm f2.0 Nikkor, which I got for next to nothing, but when you stop it down it sharp, and it's not even that bad at the maximum of 2.0. Sure, I'd like to have one of those Zeiss 85mm beauties, or even the legendary 100mm, but for the money, my old nikkor is, at the very least, just as good - maybe even better. (That is if you don't take into account the furious GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and the lovely feel of the Zeiss lenses.)

Mosquitos, dampness and the cold sort of limited this shoot, but still - bloody satisfied with this.
(Do yourself a favour, and look at it in the lightbox, it's just better that way!)

Going through my archive, I noticed that most of my pictures were full of (natural) light, and I found myself being slightly bored by all the light pictures. And inspiration was at low, so thought I might as well try something new.
I'm goign through apretty large batch of photos, so you'll see some more over the next couple of days.

He almost always makes this face when I turn the camera on him. He's not awfully fond of being photographed, but obliged since I had gotten new equipment.
