The golden flame statue is a renowned symbol of Asahi Breweries. However, it's appearance has garnered it the much less romantic nickname of "The Golden Turd." Here you can also see the red guardrail of Azuma Bridge overlooking the, umm, "beautiful" green waters of the Sumida River.

Tsukiji Fish Market is the largest such market in the world. It handles over 600 tons of seafood of 400 different types of sea creatures per day. Tuna is the most valuable item with some individual fish going for tens of thousands of dollars in auctions that begin around 4:00 in the morning. Also, amazingly, because the fish is so fresh, there is virtually no foul "fishy" fragrance
