this web of time

this web of time

I just read the most wonderful book: "Day for Night," by Frederick Reiken. It's the kind of novel that makes you think and feel more deeply than you ever have before.

Reiken chose this passage to introduce the story:

"This web of time---strands of which approach one another, bifurcate, intersect, or ignore each other through the centuries---embraces every possibility. We do not exist in most of them. In some you do exist and not I, while in others I do, and you do not, and in yet others both of us exist." ----Jorge Luis Borges

Read this book. And everything else he's written.

I've had this image accepted for the "Art of the State: Pennsylvania 2010" exhibition -- to be held at The State Museum of Pennsylvania from June 27 through September 12, 2010. Just 150 works were chosen from 2,076 entries.

Sculpture and Crafts: Janet McCall, Executive Director, Society for Contemporary Crafts, Pittsburgh.

Photography: Professor Joseph E. Elliot, Art Chair Department, Muhlenberg College, Allentown
