Impressionism

Impressionism

This was a test shot for the day we first learned about depths of field.
So traditionally, we all go out of the classroom and try it out to see if we can accomplish it (the lesson).

I was taking it to seriously haha.
Unfortunately, test shots cannot be used for grades, otherwise I would have turned this in for a grade.

This is one of my professor's favorite shots I took that day. He said what's added to his liking for it is its natural color-saturation (straight out of the cam), the blurs I have everywhere, and I shot it like a painting.

The Fisherman and the Syren

The Fisherman and the Syren

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love mermaids.
Not just the sweet delicate mermaids, I love the sexual and violent nature of mermaids too (the factor of mermaids people always forget about).
About three years ago, while browsing online, I saw a beautiful painting by Frederic Leighton depicting a mermaid and a fisherman, and that image has been stuck in my head since.

Now that I have my "L'Art" series, I can recreate it. Keep in mind that I'm not creating the painting inch my inch, it is BASED off of it (with a somewhat slight off-period look).

Megan was my first choice for makeup and body paint, because she's awesome that's why.
Paige then signed up for mermaid, and we spent months looking for the perfect guy. We got Tyler!

What Tyler is leaning on is actually a fence covered by my trademark fabric. Then, Paige is leaning on him.
1. They're going through a body workout posing like that for a long time.
2. Tyler's back is being stabbed by metal covered in a rough fabric.

Whenever you pose for me, you're gonna go through some kind of pain! Good workout though!

Peintre

Peintre

What I love about this photograph is its simplicity that reflects old portraits, and Megan's profile is so idealistic for old portraits (including paintings).

I entitled this so because one of Megan's talent is painting, and so "peintre" is ttled.

Happy Birthday Daniella!

Happy Birthday Daniella!

As titled, today is Dani's birthday!

This was one of the first shots I took of Dani.
She paid me to do her Senior Portraits, and this is one of them. I just reedited with current knowledge.
So far for me, Dani has posed for me as a Fairy, the Disney Dream Portraits, Vocalise Sonatina, and several times for miscellaneous projects such as posing for me for the school newspaper (when I wrote an article on her).

Dani is an amazing person, a person of many talents. Among them, she has the ability to talk to animals (I always say that for animal lovers), and she's very down to Earth.
She's also obviously very naturally pretty, and she knows what the camera wants.

Today is also Alvaro's (Alvi) birthday, but I don't have enough photos of him to use!
So Happy Birthday to Alvi too!
