I saw a lizard posing like this a few weeks ago. The one I saw had its mouth open -- it seemed to be overheated. I think this sort of pose allows them to keep their backs warm, but also to cool their bellies.
This is a fantastic shot; the bokeh background looks like fireworks going off!
