This pretty kitty named Boots works at the pet memorial where my cat is buried. She sits posed on top of a section of a fallen tree marking an event of many that occurred during the historic 1997-98 El Nino. Among her favourite activities is to sit on whatever papers the receptionist would have out on her desk. She earns a good salary as the paper weight, a job she does well, though not always at the times most approved by her human.

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are. I spotted them in abundance on a walk at Wildcat one balmy early-July evening.

I have been going through a bit of a long-term photographic dryspell and have been focusing more on photographing rescue dogs and dogs at the local dog park than doing anything else. So, instead of boring everyone with dog shots, I've just decided not to post anything for a while. :-)
