Upstream view of the bridge joining Hammersmith on the right to Castlenau in the borough of Richmond, two rather socially contrasting areas of the London metropolis. I took this last December 2011 when it was feeling pretty cold like it is right now in February 2012.

I asked this photographer on the pier if he wouldn't mind posing a bit so I could get a silhouette profile shot of him and his camera. He said, he didn't mind in view of the lovely light. Thanks Hugh.

An upstream view on of Chiswick Mall in the distance from bordering Hammersmith on the River Thames. A river patrol speedboat had just gone by creating these large ripples in its wake.
Looking at this scene gives me a sense of peace.
