Tejaswi & Priyanka

Tejaswi & Priyanka

Shot from Inspiration Point, Santa Barbara, CA

Today's post is our way of congratulating Tejaswi and Priyanka on getting engaged

I found this burnt branch during our trek and used it as a prop for several shots.
The flare is from my wide-angle Tokina and wasn't photoshopped.
You can see the pacific ocean and the mountains of Santa Cruz island on the horizon.

Storm Clouds over Goleta Pier

Storm Clouds over Goleta Pier

Shot in front of ECE department, UCSB, CA.

Processed using Nik HDR Efex Pro, Topaz Adjust. Usually I denoise after processing my images, but in this case I left the noise in as I felt it added to the gloominess.

Colors of Grand Canyon West

Colors of Grand Canyon West

Sunset as shot from Guano Point, Grand Canyon, AZ

Single exposure HDR, processed using Nik HDR Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro and Photoshop.

The 360 degree view of the canyon from Gauno Point is a spectacular sight. You can see the winding Colorado River down below and its masterpiece, the canyons themselves, all around you. We got here just in time to witness the colors of this gorgeous sunset.

Butterfly Effect

Butterfly Effect

Shot on Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles, CA

3 image (+1.3,-0.7,-2.7EV) HDR shot with a Tokina 11-16mm lens, processed using Photomatix Pro, Topaz Adjust, Noiseware Professional and Photoshop.

I tried to compose my wife, Malavika, between the two alley walls to make her look like a butterfly.
Special thanks to her for holding perfectly still between the shots :)
