      Hi Ginger, thanks so much! As much as Ilike when the birds sit toward you so you can get a face shot, the back and side shots do sometimes turn out.

      Bubble, I agree, finches and house sparrows do look a lot alike, especially the juveniles and females. I do get them confused at times but since my yard is "Finch Central" this one is most likely a female. The good thing about Flickr is someone will usually let me know if I'm wrong.
