Appalachian Rain Sunset.

Taken about 15 minutes south of Big Meadows Lodge, Virginia. No, there is no fire, it's only steam rising upwards on a chilly day.

Geese over Smith Mountain Lake!

Any honest photographer will tell you that his best shots amounts to no less than luck! I was taken pictures of the sun rays using a tripod like a good boy, when two different sets of geese came flying into the picture on cue! Well I like to think they came on cue. This was the second flock of geese.

Every time someone compliments me on a photo, I just tell them that the real credit goes to, "Mother Nature" for without her I would not have such pictures.

Since my camera was only going to allow me to take just one shot, (as this was taken before digital cameras had a fast reset speed) so I had to get this right. So I waited until the flock was center to the break of blue sky as to assure they birds would stand out as much as possible. It was hard not pushing the trigger as waited until I saw the moment was just right.

James River, Early Fall. This shot was taken off the Blue Ridge Parkway bridge. I have others of this same view from different years and will post them soon, as they are truly a sight to behold.
