[ABANDONED] [WIP] CUUSOO Space Marines M-02 Cougar Jeep

NOTE: This MOC has been abandoned due to LEGO's official statement confirming their preference for Nick's design aesthetics. I am still supporting the Space Marines project, but this build is no longer relevant.

 

After a particularly nasty case of builder's block with the Alpha Company M110 Jackal and the Space Marines Condor Dropship, I decided to have a crack at a three-man jeep for the Space Marines, as I wasn't quite happy with Nick's original battle buggy concept.

 

Main inspirations include the Alpha Company M3 Panther by Aleksander Stein and the Star Trek: Nemesis Argo buggy, although the limitations of the minifig anatomy / playability requirements means some artistic licence was required.

 

I'm thinking of providing two interchangeable rotating turrets - a minigun operated by a third marine, and a remotely-operated rack of AA flick-fire missiles.
