The first 100 customers buying this thing will also be their downfall... mouth-to-mouth advertisement is what, in the end, a product makes or breaks. No Flash ór no Xoom for 6 days to "upgrade the software and hardware"? It's like buying a car, to then bring it back to the garage because "oh, putting wheels on it will take 6 days".
Motorola pulled a major fail on that one.

Ah, the Irony!
LOL!
Maybe someday Adobe will release a functioning mobile Flash.

Some of these comments are so ignorant. Adobe is releasing flash 10.2 for Honeycomb, should be out 2nd week in March for this tablet. Also, speed wise this runs circles around the iPad. Lastly...the bootloader is not permanently locked on this device, Motorola has provided a way to unlock it, so most of these comments are false.

If Adobe is releasing flash 10.2 for Honeycomb then Xoom should've have sent their customers to a site that doesn't come up. What's a bootloader and why should a customer have to look for a way to unlock it? Products should work properly right out of the box. Already, two reasons why this device doesn't provide good customer experience and just because something is fast doesn't mean it's better, especially in this case.

even if it DID have flash.. still no Hulu or Netflix.
this thing is fail with it's price and no real "portable TV apps" .. what's the point?

Unfortunate.
And presumably www.motorola.com/xoom was already taken. ;)

HTML 5 > Flash

Pretty stupid having the company name on the front of the tablet. Most distracting. Also the tablet looks exactly like an iPad which makes it completely pointless. They should copy Apple's methods, not its products.
