Aron, great capture, I just got my 5D MKII and use mainly the EF 17-40 L USM for landscapes, but have noiticed that if I use a polarizer or any GND filter with a cokin typ holder I get what seems to be vigneting on the 4 corners which you seem to have gotten in yours as well. that is not vigneting but due to the ultra wide angle of the lens the frame catches the the metalic part of the filter or the holder. You may want to use no less than 20mm for focal distance on a full frame, this is the only way to avoid with the polarizer. in the case of the GND you can hand hold it if you use the LEE or SINGH RAY types.
Anyway, hope you don't mind the suggestion.
