To my son Kawehi,
I want to tell you on this Mother's Day how very proud I am of you.
You are a very loving and giving young man.
You have challenged yourself to excel in school and in sports.
You are kind and considerate to all those who know you.
You have the qualities of a fine gentleman.

When I took this photograph, I saw you in the background as the child,
and I in the foreground as the mother protecting you.

I am the luckiest mother on the face of the earth as you chose me to
be your mother in this lifetime. May I always remember to be there by
your side whenever and wherever you need me.

One day, you will marry and have children of your own. I look forward
to being an instrumental part of your life, and the lives of your family one day.
