This is cool. I'm sure some kind of useful information can be gleaned from this, but I'm not entirely sure what... certainly makes me want to do it with my books though.

    3. Patrick Gage (35 months ago | reply)

do it. i wanted to include white and black ... but I would have needed higher ceilings.

Love it - beautifully framed. Had no idea books could be so colorful.

@Patrick: Maybe I will, although there is that whole the gf and I are colorblind thing...

Next you should make a color balance card out of books :)

    6. Patrick Gage (35 months ago | reply)

@annaclare101 books can be very very colorful (though my pink & purple section is super small) but when you sort them like this, a wonderful spectrum results

      Dear Patrick
Love this photo - would I be able to use in a ppt slide for a library induction?
Educational use - no profit involved, will attribute.
      Nice bright image of books!
      Many thanks.

Sue, of course you can - it is creative commons licensed and being an academic myself I love educational uses and libraries. Enjoy!

Patrick- This is just great! I'm going to print a copy for the small, rural public library I work in; the bathroom walls need color. (But don't think my choice of display area reflects on the image, the bathroom walls are the only walls without books!) I will follow the CC license, of course, and put your name on it.
