– Dublin City Volunteer Week Kicks Off

Zse Vaiga from Hungary was at the first ever Dublin City Volunteer Week that was officially launched in June 1st at City Hall, Dame Street by Dublin Lord Mayor, Cllr Vincent Jackson. The launch coincides with the Dublin Volunteer Fair where 30 voluntary organisations will have information stands about their work and volunteering opportunities. There will be a diverse range of stands from Adult Education and Youth, to Arts, Culture, Media and Management. The Volunteer Fair is free of charge and is open from 12 noon to 3pm. Business play their part in Dublin City Volunteer Week
Gerry Loughrey from Irish Life surrounds himself with Volunteers to help children at St. Andrews resource centre on Pearse Street as part of Dublin City Volunteer Week. Enthusiastic staff of Irish Life and Permanent had left their desks to come to entertain the young children of the area.
