the last ornament for this Christmas season | maybe

my mother made this for me in 1979 because i had a little red volkswagon and i just had to post this because i LOVE it and i thought Sara (6ftmama) might just get a kick out of it!!! again, Merry Christmas and happy long weekend!!! smoooches!

    Oh my goodness! We have a dozen little red VW ornaments on our tree. It was Randy’s first car and we had it up until just a few years ago. Love this one with your name on it!

    Well, I hope by 1979 they had fixed all of the problems I had with my 1973 bug. Uggg. It still rests on top of my "most hated car I've ever owned" list. And that's a tough list to top, believe me. :-) I much prefer your little ornament to the actual cars. It's cute, and I bet it doesn't stall out on the freeway and nearly kill you. I hope you guys are having a merry Christmas.

    Oh! this is darling!!! JUST my kind of ornament. I love your Mom too! She just knew this would end up being one of those keep-it-forever ornaments full of fun memories. (I HOPE fun memories. Reading Sonora Guy's description of his bug was a bit scary, but a friend of mine who had one loved zipping around in it. She had a way of popping the clutch when she started up that lifted our hair straight up, ha). Great shot of your little bug zipping through another holiday! Merry Monday after Christmas ♥
