more pieces of advice, in case your back is weak: use the time program, set it between 1/30 - 1/50 of a second, place yourself in the shade of a tree (not too close!!!! poor little and shortened guy!) to avoid over exposure. you can use the rapid capture mode.

looks i did mine the hard way with the tripod trousers down my legs! I was actually pretty concerned about the dizzyness after because it would have just been my DSLR that was crippled if i fell!

This is like trying to figure out how a magician does his tricks. I can't for the life of me figure out how you could take such a cool photo and get it in such good focus. Excellent job! Makes me want to go grab some kids in the park and swing them around....... (joking)

phitar: "1/15th sec, 17mm, 50cm focus ... someone holds the camera above your arms, pointing down, spinning with you. you direct the shooter to trigger"
gemsling: With a self-timer.
r.AI (-): Spin child with one hand while holding the camera in the other.
renegourley: "I created a little pipe-cleaner harness for my camera and held it in my mouth. Then I spun and spun taking a picture on timer each time."

I liked the photo collection here. All of them are great as the kids had the most fun.
Here is the one I took. Me and Wife held our girl with one hand each. I clicked holding the camera in my right hand and strap securely around my neck. It came out all and it was a fun time spinning around.

I was inspired by seeing this gallery today and went outside with my daughter to try it. I didn't have any help and had to rig the camera around my head/neck with the strap. Not as sharp as it could be, but can't wait to practice some more with this idea!

Here's a similar thing I did a couple years ago. Being on something that spun itself makes it easier to hold your camera!

Fantastic work, I understand it can also be done with a camera harness strapped to your chess, thus eliminating having to get behind the person holding the child and thus avoiding the risk of making him trip with awful consequences. Great job people.
