A visit to the Bouctouche Dune in late April 2007. A walk along the
boardwalk, a view of a mother red fox and her young kits, and of the
dune and beach.
In fall 2010, there was an enormous tidal storm surge that devastated
the dune and demolished the boardwalk.

Oh, they are delightful! Made me lonely for the three fox kits that used to come and greet me on my evening walks when I lived up in the Rocky Mtns. in Colorado. They'd come running out of the forest as I approached, and then would lie down at my feet, either grooming their brush or snoozing, as I sang to them or told them a little story. One time an adult fox who lived near my place came running up to walk beside me as I headed home. It was a magical time.
