I've been really busy over the past few days (hence my absence on flickr), trying to keep up to date with (and trying to get a bit ahead of) my study as well as having a couple of 'interviews' with two different temping agencies. One of which is leading to a proper interview on Wednesday for a twelve month contract office junior role. I really want to get this job so all good thoughts and prayers are very welcome!
I did manage to take a bit of time out on Friday to see Alice in Wonderland (loved it!). Other than that it has been nose to the grindstone, fuelled by coffee.

Taken at Lake Pukaki in October from where we had parked the car. Can't remember what I'd gone back for - probably the props (must have got carried away with some other train of thought and forgotten them).
Man, I so wish I could set out on another crazy adventure like this right now. Even just an adventure to somewhere beautiful and peaceful so I could fill up my memory card and have new photos to share...

Painted Tuesday.

Well, the job I was supposed to be interviewing for today has been 'put on hold' - whatever that means so I didn't have an interview after all and I'm back at square one. And, because I spent so much of my time getting ready and then playing telephone tag with my temping agent I didn't get any study done this morning and was feeling so rotten about wasting so much time that after I had gone out to run some errands I wasn't in the mood for doing any studying in the latter half of the afternoon which made me feel as though my entire day has just been wasted.
Blah.

Archive diving. Taken at the start of the walk to Cathedral Cove in the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island. Cathedral Cove was where the Pevensies arrived back into Narnia in the film Prince Caspian.

The Patient

The Patient

Well, I think I can call this a fairly productive week. I've managed to get out for a walk about three times, I organised all of my textbooks and am up to date with my first week of study (learning fascinating stuff about Egyptian religion, Roman sculpture and house decoration, and Louis XVI). I've also read Prince Caspian, The Dawn Treader and am halfway through The Silver Chair. I did do all of this with the aid of coffee and am very tired today because this is the first time in about a month that I have used this much brain power and pulling yourself out of a general sense of uselessness and unimportance takes energy too.
I got a call today from my contact at one of the temping agencies that I've signed up with about a possible job prospect so I am going in next week to talk to her about it and do a couple more tests to see if this is the right thing for me. So that is the first good thing that's really happened to me since starting my job hunt. Don't know if I'll actually get it, it might just be a lamp in the middle of the tunnel instead of the blinding sunlight at the end, but its still something positive to help me back on track to being the real me again.
And...the printer I won through winning a competition with D-Photo magazine with my Tiger Paint! shot finally arrived yesterday. It's very cool and I can't wait to play around with it.
I think I can say that this week has been a good week =)
