I'm sad to see it go, but glad that it does.

Explore #102 on Monday, November 3, 2008. Thanks go out to the people.
The sun that is... Once the sun went behind that cloud and all the colors popped up I was amazed and just had to do a Vertorama. It was such a nice sunset and I shot a lot so I'm sure I'll be posting a few more shots from here.
NO HDR processing with Photomatix here. I decided to take the long road of processing and digitally blend everything with layer masks and a paintbrush. I didn't want to leave this fate in the hands of tone mapping. Before blending the sky photos I used auto align to fix the movement of clouds. The top and bottom photos were blended with 6 exposures (-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2). Vertorama stitched together manually. Added a layer for curves and saturation, used a wheyth filter and noise ninja.

Beautiful sunset and excellent processing. Love it!
Funny thing I have just finished a picture like this--as Vertorama that is--but I think I'll throw it away and start all over again. The comment you left with my other picture and especially the explanation here makes it all so clear. This Vertorama technique is exactly what I was looking for in the last couple week. Thanks a lot!
I don't even know why I didn't thought of it all by myself .
