01.01.10 : a few of his favorite things

our first weekly assignment: around the house.

i had martin gather together a few of his favorite things and pose for me. i shot this with my 5DII and with a Polaroid and just had to go with the retro feel of the Pola.

{i'm grateful to martin for being such a patient model and a fantastic hubby!}

happy new year to everyone! let's kick this year's butt!

this year i WILL get my photography website and business up and running
this year i WILL figure out a way to sell my prints online.
this year i WILL try to get a small exhibition of my work.
this year i WILL take control of my RA and exercise more.
this year i WILL take a couple of photography workshops to hone my mad skillz.
this year i WILL continue to be on time for all my appointments (something i set as a goal for 2009 and really stuck to)
this year i WILL keep my promise to Martin to take care of dinner two nights a week even if it's takeout. (i can't cook at ALL. :( )
this year i WILL "study" at least one photography book a week.
this year i WILL participate fully in my beloved book group.
this year i WILL be a better friend, on and off line.

um, i think that's good for now.

    With the helmet and those glasses, and shot with a polaroid, I have to say Martin looks like 1 big nerd. It's a great shot.

    i still think you should be logging all your accomplishments in a datebook...you had lots in 2009.

    You may consider etsy.com and supermarkethq.com. I've not really had any success with them but they provide an interesting community and seem to work for people who have real uniqueness! Also, a friend of mine recently mentioned bigcartel.com, tho I haven't tried that. There, I helped with one of your resolutions!
