Another picture from my visits to the amazing rock-cut city of Petra, Jordan. And one of my own favourites I would say :-)
While the Treasury looks splendid already and offers a spectacular
approach through al-Siq, I prefer the quieter al-Deir or Monastery.
Perched on the plain high up at the end of the canyon, it looks east towards Saudi Arabia. Due to the demanding climb up, a lot of tourists don't even make it up here. I still had to clone some out of the picture to get this kind of desolate shot though ;-)
