A Winter day with early sunset at Lincoln Park, West Seattle. This park is one of my favorite destinations.

1973 Colnago Super with clover cutouts in both top tube lugs, bottom bracket shell underside and lower head lug. Braze-ons include Camp. BB shell guides and rear derailleur cable housing stop. Fifty-six centimeter seat tube. Long Camp dropouts with no eye. None-recessed brake caliper pivot bolt mounts.

Campagnolo Nuovo Record group-set (1973 - rear derailleur and hub lock nuts). 1973 was the last year the front derailleur lacked a "C" clip on the upper pivot stud. Brake levers had the more pronounced curved end. Brake calipers had flat quick release lever and none-recessed pivot bolts.

The turn out for this Labor day cargo bike ride exceeded attendance ( estimated at 104 riders ) by leaps because this ride had a special significance. We rode to honor our fallen friend, Val Kleitz, who lost his battle with cancer recently. The mood was a mix of melancholy and the typical jubilance. I think Val would have been impressed by the pouring of sentiment.
