Swimmers

This is the first picture that came from my strobist pool shoot. This is the only portrait, more action is comming... View On Black

Strobist info:
2x SB28 at 1/8 on either side of the swimmers a little in front.

I used my diy waterproof flashboxes for this one!!

Very creative with the idea and the waterproof flash box. I have never seen such a device before. I really like the idea of the swimmers with just their head showing and the reflection on the water works really well. The only improvement I could suggest would be to get rid of the shadow on the swimmer on the right. The other two are really well lit.

BTW your own Flickr icon is first class very dramatic. I must improve mine which looks so boring in comparison.

The flash was with the head on waterlevel. Put gaffa tape on the box to prevent lightspill in the water. The advantage is mainly that I can put the flash close. That prevents a big area spill
