I took quite a few of this one and got some good side and head-on shots, but I really liked this angle (even it the eye is slightly obscured)
I took one when his belly was red and bloated with my blood, but he was wiggling to get out and it was too shakey.
OK, I scored a 20 year old 50mm prime lens (with manual apeture settings on the lens) and built a 2.5:1 reversed macro lens using some PVC and glue. I am so pleased with it - my other high magnification macros had too much degradation and chromatic abberation. this is such an improvement.
