Playing with the changes in Lightroom 4 tonight. I do like what Adobe did, basically they made their math better. You can push the highlight and shadow much more without making a mess of your midtones.

That being said, I'll need to "re-make" all my presets. The 2012 processing is really different than previous upgrades so old presets can't just update to it, at least for me. I really do find it has to be done on an image by image basis if you do update.

Also, I would love for Adobe to streamline Lightroom. My (getting older) HP 8440w laptop with a dual core i7 at 2.67ghz with 8gb or ram running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit is dying trying to keep up with my clicks. Lightroom was never a fast app, but version 4 is really heavy. With this version I'm finding I have to work off of my fast 1gb eSATA drive as trying to work off the internal drive is too slow. I also can't use a dual-display setup with the laptop's 14" display and a second 24" Dell U2412M. Having both on makes things really slow so I'm only using the 24" display for Lightroom.
