A seasonal scene from Temple Bar, Dublin.
We generally don't experience great temperature extremes in Ireland:
18 degrees and light rain is a typical Summers day, and 12 degrees and
light rain, a typcial day in Winter. However last Winter we had a long
sustained cold snap where it was below freezing for weeks, and now
we've had snow twice in
December 2010. Where's my share of this global warming thing?

That does look remarkably Christmas Cardish.......and very nice too. The novelty has worn off for me now.......and today finally after a month-long ice-up, a thaw has begun and the rain is falling. HNY2011 to you.

What a wonderful shot, John. Almost iconic.
We are all getting such weird weather... summer for us is more like a warm spring day... what happened to hot summer days like the ones I once experienced as a kid? And winter... and snow... we won't even go there. Who is getting the good end of the global warming stick? Anyone?
