Mon Brec
The Monmouth & Brecon Canal is set in the idyllic countryside around the Brecon Beacons and is a beautiful setting for a lazy day boating or just walking - The canal is 35 miles long and runs from Brecon in the North, down the Usk Valley, to just South of Pontypool. It has just six locks, one on the way up to Brecon, and the others at the secluded stretch leading down into Llangynidr.
