luncheon old fashioned sundae

this is jessica's sundae a single scoop of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry. just right for someone her size! the photo is a bit deceptive. this one is actually a bit smaller than janice's "any day sundae".

looking at your photos is hazardous to health - they create a craving for sundaes, chips, burgers, etc. a.k.a. junk food nowadays!!

You know, before we got there, everyone was talking about how one of us should order a banana split, but funny, none of us did!
Next time we go, I'll be sure to order one!

Thanks for checking out my photostream, sharing that menu (talk about memories!!) and for the invitation to post this photo to the American Food group!

The first Farrell's came to Hawaii when I was still in elementary school. The last one left, in my college years. Now, about a year ago, this one opened on Oahu, in the Windward Mall shopping center.
Now, we have at least two again, with a second opening in the Pearlridge Shopping Center.

Do you have any in your area, in No.Cal.?

    19. KBlood (56 months ago | reply)

Not that I am aware of. When I was a kid, we ate at the ones around the Seattle area in Washington State and also in Eugene, Oregon. It was always SUCH a special treat to eat at Farrell's.

It seems they have their little niches here and there across the country. I suppose it may be a franchise thing, but they seem a lot less "organized" than your traditional "McDonald's" type food franchise.

      Thanks for sharing your memories!
