Double Pumpkin Risotto
A risotto I made last night with a creamy butternut pumpkin puree, and chunks of roasted pumpkin.
oh and a bit of sage for good luck.

Thanks peeps... it was indeed very tasty.
Ms Noodle, I believe it was chicken stock, with an unwooded chardonnay to start with... Added the purée in the middle which meant I didn't have to use so much stock. Happy ??

*gurgle* I really must stop looking at your pictures just after breakfast. Next time I get my hands on something from the squash family, I know what I'm making!

Very good sir, very good. I might have to do this one, or maybe butternut squash since I have some.

Mr Gourmet, thank you for your response. Your innovative use of pumpkin puree and stock has won the noodles over.

Danke all...
Not too innovative really Ms Noodle. I stole it from a Gordon Ramsey recipe from his F-Word series... In Ramsey's words it was f&*$#ing delicious.

Where is the recipe for this, please? the link on perth.norg.com.au/2006/11/09/double_pumpkin_a mp_sage_riso... just goes round in circles. It says there is a link to your column but sadly it just goes back to abstract gourmet, which goes to perthnorg, and so on...

Hi Drew,
That's because my content no longer appears on that site, which is somewhere I was contributing for a while. This post should hopefully sort you out.

It's basically the same recipe, but minus the addition of roasted pumpkin pieces and sage leaves at the end.
