Dunloup Creek
New River Gorge

After photographing this waterfall from creek level, I took another look around the scene before leaving. I couldn't pass up capturing the beautiful fall leaves in the foreground and the sweet light in the background. Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!

Brush Creek Falls
Bluestone River Tributary

After posting a couple Kentucky images, it's back to posting images from West Virginia! In recent weeks I posted a couple images of Brush Creek Falls showing some unique perspectives; here's a more traditional view . . . Thanks for looking and I very much appreciate your comments!

Worthwhile

Worthwhile

Eagle Falls
Daniel Boone National Forest

Eagle Falls was the final stop on a quick waterfall chase last week in Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest with good friends Bill Fultz, Jason Haley and Todd Williams. The Eagle Falls trail offers dramatic riverside and cliffside views of the magnificent Cumberland Falls and River and is only 3/4 mile in length, but with the many steep ascents and descents, it certainly felt like a much longer distance. However, upon reaching this beautiful scene, I knew that the effort involved was without a doubt worthwhile.

Dog Slaughter Falls
Daniel Boone National Forest

Chased a few waterfalls last week in Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest with my good friends Bill Fultz, Jason Haley and Todd Williams. A moderate one + mile hike along a very picturesque creek led us to this waterfall. While I prefer not to think of how its peculiar name originated, Dog Slaughter Falls was quite beautiful. Thanks for taking a look, your comments are always appreciated.

Point of View

Point of View

Brush Creek Falls
Mercer County

Although it's one of my favorite waterfalls in West Virginia, I had never been totally satisfied with many of my images taken here. During last years Autumn season, I visited here on several occasions and decided to skip the usual compositions; I waded across the creek and scrambled up to this vantage point for a unique point of view of this beautiful waterfall. I now have several images that I'm quite happy with! As always, thanks for looking and your comments are much appreciated.
