Port Adelaide Lighthouse :: HDR

This shot was taken on the same day as my previous shot (you can see part of the building in the background) but several hours earlier before the change of wind which brought the cloud over from the other side. This was also retrieved from my reject folder but surprisingly my buddy likes it.. sometimes i really wonder do i have shit stuck in my eyes LOL! How come those things i like others don't like & vice versa! i must be a weirdo :P
Nonetheless a Happy Thursday to everyone!

The Port Adelaide Lighthouse
The Shot
Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) taken handheld using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens
Photomatix
- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option
Photoshop
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (reds) to decrease the
tone of the lighthouse
- Added 1 layer mask effects of 'saturation' (blues) to slightly
decrease the tone of the sky
- Applied blending from a 0 EV tonemapped hdr to correct movement of
the flags
- Applied ‘free transform’ to correct wide angle distortion at the
side
- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

The orange and blue contrast wonderfully here, and the lighting just seems perfect! That's cool that you have the previous post's building in there...sort of gives a little more reference. If I ever get to visit here, I'll know where I'm going! =)
