Messy bed by my daughter.
I have a complete design crush on Waterpenny's designs and I knew my daughter would particularly like this one. I've backed the cushion with two of the fabrics I used in the quilt I made her for her birthday (just peeking out of the pile at the bottom).
Waterpenny's design was a pleasure to stitch, but technically I mucked up a bit as I should have stitched this through two layers of fabric to hide the black thread at the back. I don't normally have problems with this but this particular white fabric must be thinner than the stuff I normally use and of course using so much black in this didn't help. I also should have left more of a border around the design. Oh well in my excuse I having a stinking cold, I'm sure most of my brain cells are in my nose and are therefore currently not functioning.

I love this, I think it's so cute! I don't think it's a problem that there isn't a big border, because it's a pillow, and you want the design to fill the whole space. It is a shame about the black threads showing from behind, so I've waved my magic wand! If you'd like to see the result please send me your e-mail address and I'll send a picture of it de-threaded!
