The Guardian
This was taken in the same shoot as the 47th week in my PAW this year (see the Series collection). In October, the city of Reykjavík opened this "artwork" called the peace column by Yoko Ono. It´s basically a very big flashlight on Viðey, a little island that belongs to Reykjavík.
Well me and my buddies (and probably countless other people) have joked that someone should take a boat out to that island and put the batman sign over the light to see if it works as well as it does in the movies and well, since we were bodypainting Batman I couldn´t really resist doing a shot like this, just for the fun of it :)
The model is of course Helgi and the makeup/bodypaint done by Henný and Eva Hrönn, the lighting is also the same as on the PAW shot.
I am not 100% happy with this, the clouds and viewpoint I took this shot was not the best, I would have wanted to take this closer to the city to make that a bigger part of the photo and to do that I would have needed the clouds to be lower but I still like it and considering how many "Digital art" pictures I have made (this is the second one ever) and my limited skills in that department, I am pretty pleased. Also they shut down the light December 8th and won´t turn it back on till October next year so for now, this will have to do...
