Leo_Carrillo_tonemapped

3 shot HDR shot at Leo Carrillo State Beach on a beautiful evening. Used Photomatix
with post in Photoshop CS5. Used luminosity/saturation masks to fine tune. Sharpened with high pass filter in the foreground only.
Nikon D300 with Tamron 18-270 lens. Someday I'll acquire a nice wide angle lens which will give me the wide open spaces look.

Leo Rocks

Leo Rocks

Shot at Leo Carrillo State Beach. I
had hoped for a more dramatic sky,
but as soon as things started to look
good a big cloud bank obscured the
sun.
Overall I do like this photo.
Better on Black.

Colorful Pier

Colorful Pier

Shot on a nice night at Malibu Beach. Got some somewhat decent clouds to help out. Processing in ACR 6.5 with more corrections in Photoshop CS5. Camera was D300
with Tamron 18-270 lens. this lens is not the best but it's what I got.
Actually I'm so broke I'm glad to have a lens to cover so much range.
Saves me from spending more money. I really want a Nikon 12-24.
maybe some day.
